Start here

If you've been wondering whether the outdoors is for you — it is.

Maybe you've never picked up a rod. Maybe the word "hunting" feels heavy. Maybe you grew up around it but stepped away. However you got here, this page is for you.

We promise: no jargon, no judgement, no pressure. Just women, walking each other in.

An Australian woman watching the sunrise outdoors before a day of hunting

You're not alone

Feeling nervous, a bit overwhelmed, or like everyone else already knows what they're doing? That's almost every woman in our community on day one.

You don't have to have it figured out. You don't have to know the lingo. You just have to show up — and we'll meet you there.

What this is

A soft place to start.

What it is

  • — A warm, supportive community of Australian women.
  • — Beginner-friendly. Truly. From the very first step.
  • — Honest stories, gentle guidance, real friendships.
  • — A safe space to ask any question, big or small.

What it's not

  • — Overwhelming or hard to follow.
  • — A place where you're expected to have it all figured out.
  • — About being the best, the toughest, or the most experienced.
  • — Perfect. We're all learning as we go.

How to get started

Four simple steps. Take them in any order.

01

Listen to the podcast

Start with an episode or two. Hear real women share their first day, their nerves, and the moment it all clicked. It's the easiest way to feel less alone.

02

Join the community

Our private Facebook group is the heart of everything. Ask any question — no matter how small — and you'll be met with kindness, not judgement.

03

Follow along on social

Day-to-day stories, tips and faces from the community. A gentle way to dip your toe in before saying hello.

04

Come along to an event

Beginner weekends, meet-ups and women-only courses. Borrow gear. Ask anything. Leave with friends.

What you need

Honestly? Almost nothing.

Forget the gear lists, the "right" boots, the technical know-how. You can borrow most things, learn the rest, and we'll point you in the right direction when you're ready.

An open mind

That's honestly the main thing. Curiosity goes further than any piece of kit.

Comfortable clothes

Anything you can walk in and don't mind getting a little muddy. No special outfit required.

Zero experience

We mean it. If you've never held a rod or stepped into the bush, you're exactly who this is for.

What to expect

It feels a bit like coming home.

"I thought I'd be the only one who didn't know what I was doing. Turns out, almost every woman in that room had felt the exact same way."

— Em, after her first weekend

"There was no eye-rolling at my questions. Just patient women, a cup of tea, and a kind 'here, let me show you.'"

— Sarah, first-time hunter
